Hello, I'm a professional working in tv/film production in Jax. I'm looking for actors and actresses for side projects that I'm doing. Trying to build up a book of people to work with on cool projects that will look good on the reel, yours and mine. Hopefully this networking can be reciprocal and down the road there may paying gigs, etc, but right now I'm just trying to make some cool projects with very little (personal) money.

Hi there,
Fifth Click Films is casting for their 48 hour film this weekend (May 21st-May 23rd). For those that do not know, 48 hour film festivals, like the one in Sarasota, are competitions in which teams of filmmakers attempt to write, shoot, and edit an entire short film within a window of 48 hours. Because of the nature of the 48 hour film competition, there is not yet a script for the short, and therefore, we are holding an open casting call to all actors and actresses that may be interested in participating with us. Fifth Click Films recently took home the first-place award for "Best 48 Hour Film" at the Tallahassee Film Festival, for their work on "Rigor Mortis."
Here's what we're looking for:
Actors and Actresses with any level of experience (we have had a newcomer actress win "Best Actress" in one of our 48 hour films before!).
Any age.
Any look.
Please make sure that you are available on the 22nd and the 23rd in Sarasota. Because of the nature of the 48 hour film competition, we will likely be doing intense production on Saturday, the 22nd. So if you would like to participate, we will probably begin shooting by 9am and finish around 10pm. We might also need you to be available on the 23rd for some post-production audio dubbing.
While we are not offering cash for the talent in this short film, the films are going to be shown in a full-size movie theater to the filmmakers who produced the 48 hour films, as well as a panel of industry-related judges. This means that acting in the 48 hour will put you in front of an audience of local filmmakers, both professional and amateur.
