Submissions Requested

Candle Fish Pictures is pleased to announce casting has begun for the
microbudget independent feature film, A BEAUTIFUL BELLY
(www.abeautifulbelly.com), a Romantic Dramedy about a young husband
and wife experiencing a relationship crisis in the midst of their
first pregnancy.

The film will be written and directed by Andrew Kenneth Gay, whose
short films "Naked," "Love is Deaf," and "Melissa With A Heart Around
It" have received 50 official selections at film festivals in North
America and Australia and have won a total of 8 awards.

Shooting is scheduled to take place between mid-June and mid-July 2009.

Auditions for lead and featured supporting roles will be held in
Orlando, FL, by appointment with sides provided in advance, on the
following dates:

March 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 29
April 2, 3, 4, 5

In addition, an open casting call will be held in Lakeland, FL, on
March 28.

We are currently looking for Non-Union talent local to Central
Florida. Pay is negotiable.

To request an audition appointment in Orlando or information regarding
the open casting call in Lakeland, FL, please send your headshot and
resume to cfpcasting@gmail.com. Reels are also welcome.

In addition to acting talent, the production is seeking submissions
for both pregnant body-doubles and pregnant models for a series of
semi-nude prop photographs for the film. These models will need to be
5 to 7 months pregnant during the shoot period (mid-June to mid-July).
Interested models are invited to send headshots.

Please see breakdowns for the following roles:

Jason. Male Lead. Age: 24. Caucasian.
A young husband and aspiring children's entertainer/musician
experiencing a life crisis in the midst of his wife's pregnancy.
Looking for someone with an everyman quality who has the range to nail
everything from brooding introvert to energetic children's
entertainer. Handsome, but not your typical leading man. Ability to
sing and play piano a big plus.

Danny (Danielle). Female Lead. Age: 23. Caucasian.
A fiery young wife and expectant mother, Danny tends bar and struggles
with an abiding loneliness. She takes her spiritual life seriously,
but always remains grounded. In the course of the film, we see Danny
both before the pregnancy and at 6-months. She is a natural brunette
but dyes her hair red half way through the film. She's fun, sexy, and
a little sad. Looking for someone with a younger looking face to
highlight the character's youth.

Nathan. Supporting. Age: 30. Any ethnicity.
A dashing fine arts photographer who strikes up a friendship with
Danny at a vulnerable time in her marriage. Despite his GQ looks and
style, Nathan is a little quirky and awkward (think Clark Kent).

Allison. Supporting. Age: 24. Cuban-American.
A cunning, sensual, career-oriented graduate student developing a
children's show for a local television station. Allison sees in Jason
an opportunity to make a name for herself, but they quickly forge a
connection of another kind.

Will. Supporting. Age: 28. Caucasian.
Jason's older brother. He's a firefighter and a family man. He's
taller, more attractive, and stronger than Jason and plays the role of
his mentor and guide.

Rachel. Supporting. Age: 23. Any ethnicity.
Will's wife and Danny's best friend and coworker. She's short on tact
but always a loyal and supportive friend.

Pastor Dave. Supporting. Age: 30. Caucasian.
Always well-meaning but a little cornball. Pastor Dave acts as a
spiritual advisor in the lives of the characters. Lovable and comedic.

Patty. Supporting. Age: 40s-50s. Any ethnicity.
The executive producer at the TV station where Allison works. She's
no-nonsense and hard-nosed, but also lovable and comedic.
