As the Creative Director you will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the production manager/associate producer and the creative department to ensure complete customer satisfaction. The Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate must be responsible for directing and managing the implementation of a vision, lead and direct the creative team from concept to completion. He/she will be responsible for concepting, writing, developing, and producing ideas into completed promos, commercials, marketing and training videos, and other video projects.
Other responsibilities include:
- Generate ideas, develop into concepts, and oversee entire creative process from concept to completion.
- Review and approve scripts, graphics, and copy materials assigned to and developed by staff.
- Oversees scripting process, shoots, and post-production.
- Presents concepts for client approval.
- Assist CEO with potential client proposals and attend client meetings and consultations.
The Qualifications:
- 5+ years of “video production” experience in a well-established, creative role with a proven track record of success.
- Track record of exceptional performance and progressive responsibility
- Associate Degree or higher in film/video/TV Productions (or related credentials)
- Excellent working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop.
- Excellent working knowledge of video formats and playback codecs, editing systems and practices.
- A solid background in graphics and non-linear editing is a plus.
- High degree of conceptual thinking paired with strong writing/editing skills.
- Self-motivated, forward thinking, dynamic and posses a strong desire to succeed.
- Enthusiastic, assertive, well-organized and willing to be an integral part of a team committed to excellence.

Field Producers wanted for documentary in New Orleans! (Venice)

Independent documentary crew in New Orleans needs footage of various (unfortunately) all-too-common current urban issues: tent cities, public housing demolition and privatization/redevelopment, disaster shock therapy (Galveston, TX, California Wildfires), drastic gentrification in NYC, etc. We are working in post-production but need short segments from crafty volunteer field producers that track these issues in various places to show why New Orleans is not isolated in its struggles. You don't have to be a pro--a willing citizen with a handycam can accomplish the job easily...all you have to have is an interest in documenting these national issues.
In Venice, we'd specifically be looking for lots of different shots of Public Housing developments that are awaiting their fates of demolition and mixed income redevelopment, such as the Grove Terrace apartments featured in this article: http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20071019/NEWS/710190469
Interviews with residents and/or local housing authority officials might also be useful but we can communicate further on specifics. Mostly we are interested in different shots that convey the decay of the developments. We will reimburse travel expenses to Venice, any purchases of tape stock, and shipping footage to New Orleans.

Powderhouse Productions, a Boston based production company and makers of “Dogs 101”, is in the South Florida area producing a new series for Animal Planet. The new series is called “Fetch Me a Beer” and is a fun, campy show where our host helps owners teach their dogs weird/funny/awesome tricks – like fetching your beer.
They’re in need of 2 dedicated and smart interns for office/ PA work. Potential interns MUST have their own mode of transportation as there will be traveling involved. The position needs to be filled immediately and lasts until Mid March. We're based out of Plantation for now but will be filming from South Miami to Boca Raton.
There will be a lot of office work but you’ll be dealing directly with Field producers, Sr. Producers, even EP’s- so it’s a great opportunity to network and obtain a fantastic credit on your resume. Also, if your schedule allows it, you might even be able to help out on set!
