Crew Call

Hello! A new Television Network is launching in Florida. We would like to present an exciting, unique opportunity to those who may be interested and see it for its potential! This opportunity isn't for everyone:

This is a crew call for a new Television Network based in Florida that IS LAUNCHING on July 1st!!

We are compiling a database of individuals who would like to work on episodic shoots for television pilots. Everyone involved (cast & crew) in shooting the initial pilots will participate for non-compensation...BUT...each crew member will be given a Deal Memo "upfront" with the production company indicating that if the pilot is sold and picked to broadcast as a series on the Network, you will be brought on board as a crew member with a non-union rate based on the budget (sales) for that particular show!!

We already have some incredible show concepts coming in, including some that have already shot the pilot episodes. And with lots of time slots to fill, we expect to stay busy! While there is never a guarantee that a particular pilot will be sold or picked up, we believe the potential could be unlimited for all involved, especially when you consider the reach of broadcast television!

New Concepts! New Shows! New Talent!

At this time, it is preferred that interested crew members live in Florida and have reliable transportation.

If you are a crew member who is interested in working on TV pilots for non-compensation initially in exchange for a Deal Memo offering you a paying crew position at non-union earnings if the pilot gets sold and picked up, please submit your resume to:

tvnetworkfl@gmail.com

Subject: Pilot Crew

Please include the following:

1) First, Last Name:
2) Contact Phone Number:
3) Can you receive Text Messages?
4) Location (City, State)
5) List your current crew skills from Strongest to Weakest (i.e., Camera, Grip, Lighting)
6) Indicate if you have reliable transportation

Please bear with us as we are still working out all the details. However, various pilots will be shooting soon so it is imperative that you add your name to the list if you would like to be considered for this opportunity! Thanks for your time.

Production on RAPTURE begins July 18th until 30th. We are looking for people to play the two main detectives and anyone who wants to play background crime scene personal.

FEMALE DETECTIVE - (25-35) beautiful, assertive, doesn't take crap from anyone, a bit of an anger management problem, independent, petite, somewhat playful at times, non-assuming. (there is a moment where she loses her temper and grabs suspect by his family jewls - we can have the male actor where a cup)

MALE DETECTIVE - (35-45) street smarts, rugged, seasoned detective, sense of humor at times, looks out for her partner, sometimes looks the other way, like good cop bad cop routine.

This movie will be shot on HD and be produced under the best of quality as to attract interest in distributors once complete. There is NO PAY, though credit will be given all involved, both in the titles and on the imdb. We will provide snacks, food, and drink on the set to all cast/crew.

LEAD FEMALE role in thriller RAPTURE - some brief adult content (Jacksonville, FL (westside))
Reply to: rapturethemovie@gmail.com [Errors when replying to ads?]
Date: 2009-06-18, 1:59AM EDT

We are casting for the lead role of GRACE, who is a deeply spiritual young woman, late teens, early twenties, who is pure and innocence, and angelic in her beauty. Not a selfish bone in her body. The role requires a brief moment of exposure to the chest area, and an implied attack heard off-screen, not seen at all. Only screams are heard.

Grace is prominently seen throughout film. Her relationship to her boyfriend SPENCER, and her sister ROXY are intrical to the story, and she has love in her heart, even for her enemies.

This movie will be shot on HD and be produced under the best of quality as to attract interest in distributors once complete. There is NO PAY, though credit will be given all involved, both in the titles and on the imdb. We will provide snacks, food, and drink on the set to all cast/crew.

The filming days are July 18-24 and July 26-30. Specific call times will be set as get closer to production. But we are looking for tentative call time of 10am until 10pm or so, for most days, unless specified on the call-sheets.

Actress needs to be able to put on convincing Russian and British accents. British accent must be "upper-class" (please NOT Cockney).
Audiobook will be about 3 hours long, recording sessions will most likely last one hour(due to retakes) and the scenes involving the female characters are such that it will require at least three recording sessions to complete them.
The book is a sequel to "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" called "The Ghosts of Edward Hyde" which involves multiple people drinking the potion. The Female upper-class British character's alter ego is the Russian female character, thus the ability to switch between the two accents is preferred. (though not required).

My name is Ephraim McCormick, I am the author of the book and I will also be performing as the male characters in the book.

If you have an audio clip of yourself to send via e-mail, or a link, that would be easiest. Resume is not required, but it certainly will not hurt your chances if you send one. After the initial inquiries, I will hold a formal audition for the role, before which I will send a scene to all interested for practice.

Thanks!

P.S if the book sells after production is completed, you WILL get a reasonable percentage of the profit. However, since its success is, of course, not CERTAIN, I have listed this as a no-pay gig.

P.S.S. Please reply to Tinman2022@yahoo.com and included the word "Hyde Talent" in your subject heading to get past my spam filter. I do not prefer mass talent agency form letters. If you send a personalized inquiry, I will read it and get back to you.

He’s Having a Baby
Written by Fred Carmichael
What would happen if men had babies and women paced the floor of the maternity waiting room? The story revolves around three such anxious women: Mrs. Murray, a first timer who is constantly at the point of hysteria; Mrs. Foster, who is having her seventh and is outwardly very calm; and Mrs. Groton, already a mother but now determined to become the parent of a girl. As they sit, many differences are brought out to show what would happen if men had babies.
Cast: 5 females

Ada Gives First Aid
Written by Eunice Merrifield
Scatterbrained Ada organizes a class in first aid, even though Ada doesn't know the difference between a break and a sprain! But the "victim" is taken sick and cannot appear for the demonstration. Then a strange man has an accident in Ada's garden. Fate has handed a victim to the first aid class! And what "the girls" do to him is a caution! Then they discover that he is a doctor who has moved next door. He goes home, groaning and complaining. The girls are crestfallen until they get another victim-- and this results in a riot of howls that brings down the house.

Screen Actors Guild Members Overwhelmingly Ratify TV/Theatrical Agreements

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Screen Actors Guild Members Overwhelmingly Ratify TV/Theatrical Agreements

Los Angeles, (June 9, 2009) – Screen Actors Guild announced today that members have voted overwhelmingly to approve its TV/Theatrical contracts by a vote of 78 percent to 22 percent.

The two-year successor agreement covers film and digital television programs, motion pictures and new media productions. The pact becomes effective at 12:01 a.m. June 10, 2009 and expires June 30, 2011.

The contracts provide more than $105 million in wages, increased pension contributions, and other gains and establishes a template for SAG coverage of new media formats.

Approximately 110,000 SAG members received ballots of which 35.26 percent returned them – a return that is above average compared with typical referenda on Screen Actors Guild contracts. Integrity Voting Systems of Everett, WA, provided election services and tonight certified the final vote tally upon completion of the tabulation.

The vote count in the Hollywood Division was 70.70 percent to 29.30 percent in favor. In the New York Division, the vote count was 85.74 percent to 14.26 percent in favor. And in the Regional Branch Division, the vote count was 89.06 percent to 10.94 percent in favor.

Screen Actors Guild President Alan Rosenberg said, "The membership has spoken and has decided to work under the terms of this contract that many of us, who have been involved in these negotiations from the beginning, believe to be devastatingly unsatisfactory. Tomorrow morning I will be contacting the elected leadership of the other talent unions with the hope of beginning a series of pre-negotiation summit meetings in preparation for 2011. I call upon all SAG members to begin to ready themselves for the battle ahead,” Rosenberg added.

Screen Actors Guild Interim National Executive Director David White said, “This decisive vote gets our members back to work with immediate pay raises and puts SAG in a strong position for the future. Preparation for the next round of negotiations begins now. Our members can expect more positive changes in the coming months as we organize new work opportunities, repair and reinvigorate our relationships with our sister unions and industry partners, and continue to improve the Guild’s operations.”

Screen Actors Guild Chief Negotiator John McGuire said, "I want to thank the SAG members and staff who dedicated their time to the negotiations process. We emerged with a solid deal that the members have now voted up. The negotiating team worked tirelessly, building on the work of the first negotiating committee, to deliver these improvements to members.”

Screen Actors Guild began talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers on April 15, 2008. Guild Chief Negotiator John McGuire, Interim National Executive Director David White, and Deputy National Executive Director for Contracts Ray Rodriguez, working with a 10-person negotiating task force comprised of Screen Actors Guild board members and officers representing the three divisions, reached the tentative agreement on April 16, 2009 after 12 months of periodic negotiations with the motion picture studios and television networks.

ACTORS RESPOND TO CONTRACT RATIFICATION

Tony Shalhoub, actor
“This is a great decision for SAG and I’m so appreciative of everything the new leadership is doing to put the Guild back on track. They’ve obviously got the right ideas for making SAG stronger.”

Stephen Collins, actor
"This contract passed because members knew it was time to take advantage of the gains our negotiators won and get back to work. On top of that, they understood that risking our ability to negotiate alongside AFTRA and the other unions in the 2011 negotiations would have been a huge mistake. It's a great day for SAG."

Sam Freed, actor, 2nd National Vice President
“This decision by the membership marks the end of a very long process. We can now move forward with a new sense of certainty.”

Sue-Anne Morrow, actor, National Board Member representing New York
"This is a good deal with good gains. SAG's members clearly agree. It's about time we got a raise. I'm so pleased that SAG's members exercised their right to be heard and said 'Yes!'."

Mike Hodge, actor, National Board Member representing New York
“I am extremely pleased that we have finally come to the close of a long, unproductive period. I am hopeful that we can heal our wounds and really start the work to become a unified, national union.”

Nancy Duerr, actor, National Board Member representing SAG Florida Branch
"This is a victory for SAG performers across our region. Stalled and delayed productions can now get underway, boosting our local economies. This contract not only puts more money in members' pockets, it preserves the high standards of working conditions our members have come to expect."

Todd Hissong, actor, Chicago Branch President, National Board Member
"By passing this referendum, Chicago members have sent a clear message that we want to get back to work. Screen Actors Guild members across the country have yet again demonstrated our grasp of the issues, the importance of unionism, and our need to stand together with our sister unions to make deals that benefit us all.”

David Hartley-Margolin, Colorado actor, SAG 3rd Vice President
“The membership always has the last word when it comes to contract matters. They have spoken. Their endorsement of the deal with the AMPTP ends the uncertainty that has been hovering over us and allows Screen Actors Guild and the industry to move forward together.”
